Laulupidu Repertoir 2025 Concert with Vardos

Sunday, 18 May, 2:00 pm | Presented by the Melbourne Estonian Society Women’s Choir

Join us for a special afternoon of music and celebration as the Melbourne Estonian Society Women’s Choir performs their Laulupidu 2025 repertoire — an exciting preview of the songs they will sing at Estonia’s legendary Song Festival.

Laulupidu is one of the world’s largest and most treasured choral festivals, first held in 1869. This year’s XXVIII Song and XXI Dance Celebration, titled Iseoma (Kinship), will take place from 3–6 July 2025, bringing together over 40,000 singers, dancers, and musicians from across Estonia and the world.

The women’s choir has successfully passed the rigorous qualification process and has been rehearsing diligently for Laulupidu for over a year. This is your chance to experience their voices live — especially valuable if you’re unable to attend the festival in Estonia.

Adding to the celebration, we’re thrilled to welcome the incredible trio Vardos as special guests. Known for their dynamic and passionate performances of Eastern European Romany music, Vardos will bring an extra burst of energy to the stage.
