From Friday 22 May to Sunday 24 May 2026, the community is invited to gather for one final weekend of archives, music, food, performances and shared memories before this chapter of Eesti Maja in Melbourne comes to a close.
Across all three days, you will be able to explore archive displays featuring photographs, articles, films, books and handicrafts from the many groups and activities that have called Melbourne Estonian House home over the decades. The archive display opens daily from 10.00 am.
Friday, 22 May 2026
Friday offers a relaxed start to the weekend, with archives open from 10.00 am and the bar open from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
A perfect opportunity to reconnect, revisit memories and ease into the celebrations ahead.
Saturday, 23 May 2026
Saturday begins with the archives reopening from 10.00 am.
From 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm, the main hall transforms into a lively Beer Hall, with Estonian beer, other beverages and European-style pub food available for purchase.
In the evening, the atmosphere shifts as preparations begin for the NOËP concert. Guests will be asked to temporarily relocate during sound checks and setup, before doors reopen at 7.00 pm for ticket holders.
Sunday, 24 May 2026
Sunday brings the final Family Day gathering.
The archives will again open from 10.00 am, with the kitchen serving Estonian finger foods from 12.00 pm until 2.00 pm. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early for lunch, as no food will be served during the performances and speeches.
From 2.00 pm onwards, the afternoon program will feature choir and folk dance performances, speeches, community activities and one final opportunity to celebrate together inside Melbourne Estonian House.
Community members are also warmly encouraged to wear national costume on Sunday as a fitting tribute to the generations who have filled these halls with Estonian culture, music and tradition over the years.
